a few saturdays ago, mom took the girls to tea (note the floral wallpaper, lace curtains & trinkety decor).
we got there and all ordered diet cokes
then, my mom told us we were not "required", but strongly urged to try the curry.
four curries please.
and can hillary have a scone with her jam?
alas, my dreams of cucumber sandwiches, clotted cream with hot scones and chamomile tea were shattered.
instead i laughed my arse off, cried a little too, watched hillary eat two bowls of jam, tried on questionable hats, and really irked our server.
(i'm afraid tea ladies, we were not.)

hillary was appalled at the whole idea of the hats, she is terrified of any living creature (mostly dogs, & apparently lice)
