11. my dad has always been able to put a smile on my face. i can be beside myself with anger, frustration, fear, sadness, pain & he can pull me right out...he tells me to "cowboy up". he knows just what to say or do to make everything okay and to help me have hope for a brighter tomorrow. he always knows when i need a hug. he is kind, funny, stubborn, wise, tender, strong & has been a rock that i can always depend on, no matter what. i know that heavenly father knew i needed him to be my dad, to help me navigate my way through this life. my dad lives each day as if it could be his last, and he makes life fun. he drives down to my house on a regular basis to help me with my kids whenever i need. he picks me up on saturday mornings and takes me to breakfast in my pajamas. he takes me to costco to eat samples. he takes me to the movies any night of the week to get me out. he is amazing, and i'm so happy that he's my dad.

Happy Birthday Rickey Dee!!! I LOVE you! Thanks for being the best/ scariest soccer coach. You really kept us all on our toes when you would throw your clip board down in anger b/c we weren't playing our best. Archie sends his birthday wishes. He says that he loved when you cornered him and told him what a great kid he is and never to change.... He also loves your argyle socks and loafers. xoxo
